THE BODY MADE INTO AN EMERGENCY
A fault line widens at your back,
the body made into an emergency.
Somewhere the night is fracturing
with dirt under the nails.
Recovery looks like orange peels
in a kitchen sink.
Sometimes it looks like static,
red & unraveling
