THE BODY MADE INTO AN EMERGENCY By Ana Carrizo

THE BODY MADE INTO AN EMERGENCY

A fault line widens at your back,
the body made into an emergency.

Somewhere the night is fracturing
with dirt under the nails.

Recovery looks like orange peels
in a kitchen sink.
Sometimes it looks like static,
red & unraveling
